Is there anywhere in Nola (besides Academy) that sells a good quality version of cornhole? Looking for a wooden set, not the cheap metal.

Get a sheet of MDF... find a pattern online, and get to work... it's easy and only takes a couple of hours

I got one from Victory Tailgate. Excellent quality, and they sell all different designs. You can also buy their "damaged" boards, which means it may have a visual defect. Those can be really cheap.
