Best onion rings in Nola? - Blackfield
The last three or four times I have ordered onion rings at restaurants, I've been pretty disappointed. Maybe it's just me, but has the novelty of a good onion ring gone down? I prefer actual onion rings, not just small straws. What are some of your favorites?...

Is it possible to win the lottery and it be truly "anonymous"? - Blackfield
I don't mean with family and friends, etc. I mean could you win the lottery and the general public have no idea because the lottery keep that information completely sealed. Or is it a thing that new lottery winners deal with people trying to fleece them or score easy money? ...

re: Halal Guys coming to Baton Rouge - Blackfield
This is a really overpriced, fatty Mediterranean option when there are SO MANY cheaper, healthier, and way more flavorful places, especially in Nola. I'm shocked this places does so well. ...

re: Atheist at dinner: "Look, If I'm just a good guy, treat ppl right, then die, I'll be happy - Blackfield
That in no way was the point he was making. He was literally saying "I can look back and say job well done". As in after he died. I asked him where he would be looking back from. ...

Atheist at dinner: "Look, If I'm just a good guy, treat ppl right, then die, I'll be happy - Blackfield
Work dinner. Stay later for a drink. Co-worker's way too chatty friend arrives all of a sudden and doesn't shut up (groan....) Anyways... talks about being an atheist way too much. I'm barely paying attention at this point but then says.... "Look man, if I just live my life being a solid dude,...

Chris Paul to.......... Houston? Murmurs.... - Blackfield
Marc Stein: Story going online now: League sources tell me Houston has emerged as an increasingly serious threat to sign Chris Paul in free agency. League sources say James Harden is among those in Houston advocating for the signing of Chris Paul and has made that known to CP3 directly....

re: Cutting the cord on Cox Cable - A few (probably dumb) questions... - Blackfield
This is all great info. Thanks everyone! My neighbor has Sling and loves it. I don't see it on my apple TV though. So I could get sling box and then the Fox platform. I assume it has Fox Sports Nola included in its platform?...

Cutting the cord on Cox Cable - A few (probably dumb) questions... - Blackfield
I've been procrastinating getting rid of my $100+ tv bill from cox. But we need to. Because my wife and I are busy as hell with work/kids and watch very little TV. EXCEPT... the Pels. I never miss a game. This was my, probably stupid, reason for keeping cox the past couple years. I understa...

Unclaimed Savings/Treasury bonds? - Blackfield
Long story short, some revelations in my wife's family have made some think a deceased grandmother had created savings bonds for some grandchildren. Both LA and Federal. Some in the family believe it could have been substantial. (Not getting my hopes up) Who knows if it's true or legit, but is th...

re: If the Saints go Tim Williams at #42 - Blackfield
I don't know what it is with those Alabama players but they sure in the hell seem to have some major head case players.
Another reason why Nick Saban is underpaid. He somehow has the ability to (largely) keep these guys bottled up and focused on football and staying productive. ...

Educate me - Construction loans for adding a camelback? - Blackfield
This is not something I have a ton of education on. I have a 1,500 sqft shotgun uptown and am seriously considering putting a camelback (or maybe even a full 2nd story). I owe 200K on it and it appraises around 5. I hear that getting a construction loan has a lot of value vs. a home loan (l...

re: Porcupine Tree may be the most underrated, under appreciated band ever - Blackfield
Have been to 5 or 6 PTree shows and they are indeed one of the best prog bands ever. Glad Steven Wilson is still making good music but I definitely miss the Gavin influence on PTree albums. Looking forward to the new SW, Anathema, and down the line Flying Colors albums to come...

re: T. Jones waived by the Bucks - Blackfield
Unless Diallo gets a lot better
How do we even know how good he is now? Such a headscratcher that we literally see nothing of him in NBA games and we only guesstimate his worth/value based on him playing D leaguers...
