my group is looking to change up our normal betting routine and was wondering about some other games that would be fun for a foursome or threesome
We normally just play 2v2 best ball. Only other game I know is wolf but they don't seem to want to play that

Skins. It keeps everyone interested on each hole rather than those who are out of the picture after a few holes just giving up. Doesn't matter how many holes you lose, the next one might be your chance to get a little back.

2-man scrambles are fun, especially if you have people of varying skill levels.
You can also do alternate shot.
Either way, you choose ahead of time whether it's match or Medal play and how the bet will be.
I've also done a round robin. You pair up with a different guy in the foursome for six holes at a time.
For match, partners earn a point for each hole won. The person with the most points at the end of the day gets the pot.
In Medal, keep score in relation to par. The person with lowest score gets the pot.

Our group game is as follows
Everyone puts up 15 bucks
1 dollar from each person goes to each of the 4 par 3's (greenies)
1 dollar from each person is awarded to the low net
The rest of the money (10 from each player) is awarded to the players than earn scats or make birdies
The value of a dot (either scat or birdie) is determined by how many dots there are that day.
Our game is also handicapped. Higher handicaps get strokes on certain holes in order to balance the game somewhat.

Another good game for a 4 some is 2man best ball, but switch partners every 6 holes

Monkey, Snake, Turtle, Camel, etc. can be quite fun (but can get quite expensive)

Just play a low and agg for money.

Just walk up to some random guy teeing off and yell "a hundred dollars says you slice." He'll appreciate the challenge and you'll have a friendly rival the rest of the day.

whats that right left game? similar to wolf, but partners are determined by the two guys on the right after the tee shot are on a team and the two guys that are on the left are on a team

Skins?
Each hole has a skin (set value), like say $5. It can get interesting because when any of the players tie a hole, the "skin" is added to the next hole, and so on and so forth, until one player wins the hole.
