In before you're poor for a $70 per diem.

In before don't go to Portland because it's liberal.

Pine State Biscuits for Brunch/Lunch... Forget what it's called, but a biscuit topped with a fried chicken breast, topped with Bacon, Cheese a Fried egg and Sausage Gravy.

Look for a hotel with loud junkies right outside the window, pour water on them while they're nodding off in an opiate-induced stupor!

Pretty neat city. Beer. Beer should definitely be a target while you're there.

He doesn't drink, and he really hates homeless people ...oh and also the smell of weed.

So it's a good thing he's getting the frick out of that liberal cesspool Seattle and heading to a place like Portland, where that type of shite is not okay!

Go to the Deschutes brew pub and order a flight of their beers. Pretty good food there too.

There is a fancy sandwich place called Lardo that would be good for lunch.

I thought the Japanese Gardens were pretty cool and relaxing.

There should be legal there now too.

Portland City Grill, get a reservation and request city view by window when you get there. Order the pork chop.

It's located in the tallest building in Portland.

It's a must when I go to Portland and that's usually 3 to 4 times per year.

Beware of the hippies and pot heads.

That would be the Reggie Deluxe, sir.

Pine State is a solid choice. You should check out Tasty and Alder or Tasty and Sons for a brunch, and Toro Bravo for dinner (all owned by the same folks, all amazing).

Go to the Multnomah Whiskey Library - if you can get an appointment to get shitfaced - and enjoy an old fashioned made tableside and a library of 10000+ liquors, with an interesting "law library" atmosphere. Also the elk tartar is fricking amazing.

Don't bother with Voodoo doughnuts or any of that tourist bullshite.

Deschutes is a good suggestion. If you're interested in beer stuff Cascade Brewery is probably a top 5 brewery to visit in the US

Wear an LSU T-shirt, cross out the U and put a D over it.
