Lived in Philly for a year and a half, don't go there. Gettysburg is amazing, do the CD car tour, I tried to walk the whole thing and that was a massive mistake, it's like 2 miles from the Highwater Mark of the Confederacy to Little Round Top. If, you can get on one of the horse back tours that is the best way to do it. The cyclorama is well worth the time, Meade's HQ, Pickett's Charge and the cemetery are must see places while there and they are pretty close to each other. Have fun, take pictures, be respectful of what happened there.

Gettysburg was ridiculous. Loved it. I had no idea it was that massive (that's what she said). I could have easily spent 2 days there...maybe 3. The wife and I have already talked about coming back for a 2-day, 3-night or more trip. I definitely want to take in the town and spend more time out on the battlefield. With all of the monuments, trails and interesting locations, I feel like I missed a lot....and we were there from 9:15 to about 6:30. I also want to take in more of the town. Looks like a pretty cool place to spend a night. And I'd like to go through the college too....just to see it.
Took tons of pics and hope to post some soon.
My favorite spot was Little Round Top.....until I went down to Devil's Den which was awesome. And the view from the Union position overlooking the fields during Pickett's charge was amazing. I can't imagine seeing an army of soldiers a mile wide walking towards me. And the 3 observation towers did their job in confirming just how out of shape I am.
On the drive over to Pittsburgh tonight, we saw a sign on the interstate for the Flight 93 memorial. I had no idea it was in this area of the state. I would have loved to have put some time aside for that this trip.
