this. this time of year it can get really cold up in elevation. it was 40 in buena vista this weekend at night. COLD.
Also, i saw people rafting this weekend on the arkansas. Clear creek might be too low (doubt it) but there is rafting you can do this weekend.

Saw Mumford and Sons there last year while on a business trip. It's definitely worth it. You can drive to the top of Mount Evans, that's pretty cool. Stay away from a clip joint named The Fort, if dining, it blows and is way over priced.

Truth.
I went to RMNP on July 4th (some years ago.) I was in shorts and a t shirt. I decided to bring long sleeves, just in case. It snowed.
I second the drive to RMNP - Estes Park - Boulder idea. What a view!

I'll be there with friends with weekend, too. We're going out in Denver Friday night, going hiking in Vail on Saturday, and hanging out in Boulder on Sunday/Monday.
