Leave the four-syllable words at the door, college boy.
Step 1: get a TWIC
Step 2: decide what you want to do in a plant and go to a technical college to learn how to do that. You could go for occupational safety, estimating, planning/scheduling, weld inspection, QA/QC, or operations. None of those will you be able to immediately step in without some time in the classroom earning certs.
Step 3: have a family member or friend working in that plant to vouch for you. That's one of the only ways to get your resume not thrown in the trash.
