Dear Myspace,

It is just amazing to me how every single thing we now do, we get begged for a tip.

I just took my car up for an oil change at the dealership. The oil change was $85.00. I had to leave my car there for 3 hours to get a simple oil change. The dude wants a tip for a three hour oil change? NO.

When I went to pay for the $85 fricking dollar oil change, he turned the ipad around where it asked me to tip 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%

I hit NO tip and the dude got pissed off at me. He said a smart arse remark "oh I see how it is" - I'm white, he's black... I get what that dude was trying to accuse me of but race had nothing to do with it. That fricker does not deserve an extra tip for doing the job that I am paying him to do.

Going forward.. I don't care if it is a sub from Jersey Mikes, the yard guy, a painter.. anything... Unless they phsically serve me at my table by refilling my drinks, bringing out the food, pre bussing my table... I am not tipping anyone another fricking thing.

Sorry, rant over. That shite just burned me up.

the whole idea of tipping waiters at restaurants bc the restaurants can't pay employees properly is pretty preposterous.

Simple solution: find a new oil change place.

Most people here live in cities and constantly complain about the things you do and see in cities.

People making noise, shite in someone elses yard, Lowly paid employees bucking for tips, kids in restaurants. Whats this world coming To?

The other day I had a plumber fix a leak on my water heater. Went to pay my invoice on their online system, and it asked how much I wanted to tip. Fricking absurd.

Simple solution: Pay with cash. No more tip screens.

See if the drive thru worker or cashier have the balls to ask for a cash tip

I agree with you, and I usually only tip servers, and cute women, but I would probably find another place for an oil change. I'd hate to think that guy could sabotage my vehicle when he realizes I'm that white devil from the last time that refused to tip him all because he is black.

Simpler solution...do the same thing you've always done 1 year, 5 years or 20 years ago.

This happened to me too. Except with lawn care. Had like 2k worth of work done. They took 3 days longer than they said, and broke several pieces of out door furniture while moving stuff around.

Went to pay invoice online and they had a tip
Not a chance in hell. Want more, charge more

I do find it insulting that so many of these cashiers now will flip the screen around and ask you to tip them before they do any additional work other than processing your credit card

Sometimes you have to navigate to even avoid leaving a tip

Tipping is out of control, doubt anyone would argue otherwise.
