You can do this.

I worked on my masters with a full time job of 80 hours a week, two kids, and a useless wife who did zilch to support me.

I fell asleep at that the computer. I had to stay up all night on occasion. Life sucked for three years.

My point--when you finished, nobody will be able to take this away from you.

Please go back to school if it is what you are passionate about.

I had a similar experience to you, except even before I graduated I knew I did not want to do anything with my major (I did not play around, but that is not the point).

I decided to go back to school and fortunately could get a federal loan to cover it.

Just make sure you have a financial plan ready so you dont have to borrow the maximum amount.

Get busy livin', or get busy dyin'.

You'll either go back to school and pursue your goals and dreams, or you'll spend the rest of your life wishing you had and telling your grandchildren about what you "could have" done.

It's your choice. You can do it.

I was an engineer then got married and had a kid. I took the lsat a couple years after graduating and got scholarships for most of law school so I went back to school. My wife makes bank so that helps out, but it was a great move for us.

I went back in my late twenties after goofing off some and then the military. Married, no kids. I was concerned that I would be 30 when I graduated. Someone told me, you're going to be 30 anyway, do you want it with a degree or not?

She was/is not a good woman. She cared only about herself.

I was the only one working outside the home, and I was pretty much much the only one working in the home, too.

Think of it this way: if you graduate at 32, you still have more working years ahead of you than years that you've lived*.

I'm not married and don't have kids. No house or truck note. It sucks. I've had senioritis since my first semester back

The class parts and learning interesting things are great. I very rarely miss a class. The fricking homework and tests are what make it miserable. They do nothing for me other than make me hate school.

Best decision I ever made was going back to college at 25..graduated at 28 and went to summer school 4 straight summers (still can't believe I did that). I didn't have kids and didn't get married until after I graduated, but it was without a doubt the best decision of my life.

There were plenty of guys in my major that were older than me who went back and a few with kids too. I'd be willing to bet they would say the same thing I just said

Go for it OP. Always try to improve your stance and education is the best way to do so IMO.

I've been back in school for almost a year now and I'm in my late 30s. No kids but married and work full time. Just takes having the discipline to make the time for your schoolwork.

I say go for it if it is something you really want.

How about going back at 38 with 4 kids, two born while in school, and carrying full time status. Oh, and I travel a lot with my current job. I plan to graduate in May. Not at one point was it easy, not even in the slightest. Hell, even the "gimme" art class is difficult as hell when you have babies crying all night, work commitments, etc., etc., etc. I actually was so worn out three semesters ago after my 4th child was born, I went an entire semester with the wrong friggen text book in two of my classes. Financially, I don't know if it's been worth it, I make a good living already, but finishing what I started 20+ years ago will have made it worth it.

Got my Bachelor's when I was 43.

I regret every year I put it off. I couldn't be more proud of myself for finally doing it, though. If you're going to do it, the sooner the better.

Take it from the oldest guy in the classroom. He knows of what he speaks.

I did it in my early 40s. I went back and got another degree that helped me tremendously in my field. I'm a dumbass and hadn't been to school in 20 years. If I can do it, you can absolutely do it. Definitely easier and better to do in your 20s than your 40s.
