Yeah, I'm surprised at Rex's position here. I get how some people liked Bowie more -- it's usually artsy fartsy types who feel the Eagles were too refined/polished, but I'm surprised Rex thinks slapdick Ziggy Stardust was more important in the grand scheme of things.

What about Natalie Cole?

Rule of three is dumb.

I'm not a fan of Bowie or the Eagles, I appreciate some of their stuff, but, I can see how Bowie stood out more so than Glen Frey and inspired imitators and a new branch to the rock music tree.

Damn that sux. I always thought Joe Walsh would have taken the ride first.
RIP Glenn

Well then can you crank up some Luke Bryan, FL GA Line, and Sam Hunt? I know it'll be brutal for you for a few days but think of the greater good

Heartache Tonight was the best Frey song.

If there were an "American band" it was the Eagles. Henley is brilliant and "hotel California" is an American anthem. There music will last forever . If you love some great sax give s listen to "you belong to the city" a great song with a great best. It is a very sad night for me.

PJ, I know this is a cover song, but it's incredible.

You Were Born in the City and Smuggler's Blues are Frey's B grade material, and they're amazing.

You might want to hit some 16oz Buds for old time's sake tonight, PJ. Pour one out for Frey.
