Got dressed
got hitched
while taking pictures reality hit me like a ton of bricks that I had just made a huge mistake
boarded cruise ship
got in a fight
drank
got bitched at for an entire week every time I tried to drink
fought more and drank a lot more

I've never understood this thought process. Can you rednecks not put football aside for 1 day to respect a wedding?

How long did it last?

I was in one of these, he filed divorced seven months in after listening to her complain for months about how he ruined her wedding by having beers with his boys after the reception in the hotel bar.

Groomsmen took me out the night before and got me shitfaced. One of them had to carry me back to room over his shoulder. He dropped me head first on the floor when he was trying to put the key in the door. So I had a rugburn on my forehead.

Woke up at about 9 in the morning to find the bathroom covered in blood. A lot of blood. My best man was naked in the bathtub with blood all over him. He had a bunch of really deep cuts on his hand. I woke him up and asked what the frick happened. He claimed he got into a knife fight with a midget. I had one of my other groomsmen drive him to the hospital to get stitched up.

So my bride walks up the aisle at our 2 PM wedding and sees a big rug burn on my forehead and my best man with bandages all over his hands and the first thing she says, right in front of the preacher is "What the frick did yall do last night?"

It's rude and inconsiderate to the guests that may want to attend a football game and or activities. Not to mention now your anniversary is during football season every year.

If I get invited to a wedding during a lsu game, I'm likely not going. It's pretty rude. Football is obviously a big deal in the south. Just because the bride and groom aren't football fans, doesn't mean everyone else invited isnt.

what about the basketball and baseball fans in the spring? and what if someone wants to fish in the spring/summer?

how rude of you to not take in account all of your guests hobbies!

Basketball and baseball aren't as big of a deal to 99% of sports fans as football is. Not to mention they play a shite load more games per season than football. Are you really this dense?

-China

-800 guests (knew about 50 of them)

-driver missed a turn on the way to the wedding. according to Chinese tradition, its bad luck to turn around on the way to a wedding. instead of merely turning around to take the correct turn, we drove an hour & 1/2 out of the way, through 1 way rural chinese mountain roads, to get to my wife's hometown.

rest of the wedding went off w/o a hitch (including my speech in mandarin ) but the ride there was interesting to say the least.

here's a pic of the wedding procession

No, the bride and groom are the selfish ones.
