Gift for loss of Father

Searching for a gift to send a 26 year old guy that just lost his dad. He lives a few states away so has to be an online purchase. I've been looking at a few websites that sell Scotch/Bourbon gift sets, but was wondering if anyone here has any experience with a particular site. Or any other suggestions on what to get for this occasion? He's mostly in to tech/gaming so there's nothing I can really get him for that.
Thanks
Thanks

OT answer:
Condoms for his mom.
Real answer:
A good bottle of scotch or something his dad liked to drink

Not sure there's a damn thing anyone could get me for the loss of my Dad.

A gift? I have never heard of giving a present for someone who lost a relative.

how bout just a sympathy card? Its not like he's "celebrating" or won a prize.
Is he?
Is he?

Gift card to gamestop.
or
Gift card to Amazon and he can literally get anything in the world that he fancies.

I hear you and in all my years I've never heard of buying someone a gift for the loss of a loved one.
Send flowers or a donation to charity if that's their request to the calling hours and be there for them if they need you.

Probably because you are an insufferable douchenozzle.

How about just sending your condolences.
Or an arrangement to the funeral.

Was there a cause/activity the dad cared about? Maybe make a gift in honor and memory of the dad.

I think this would go further than anything material you would buy him.

Donate to a charity in memory of his dad. If his dad died of cancer, for example, consider American Cancer Society. Or if his dad just loved St. Jude, do that. Something that would have mattered to him.

A copy of "Life Lessons" by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross and David Kesseler.

This seems weird. Just send a card and be done with it

Everybody wants a tip. Now everybody needs a gift. This shite is going too far. Do a card or charity donation. Geez.

This is correct. But I wouldn't turn down a good bottle of Scotch.

A card is so impersonal.
Better to send him something nice that will remind him of his dad, or something his dad would like and a nice handwritten note.
