Right now, you are in charge of what you spend your money on and how much you save for retirement.
That will soon be over. Congrats on financing the future shopping sprees of another adult. The list of crap she "has" to have is endless.

Don't listen to the basement dwellers and divorce hounds on here...being married is great.

It's not that marrying my wife was a mistake, its that the idea of marriage itself is a mistake.

Just do what she says and do it in a timely manner.
Things will be great if you do.

But why? Grass is always greener. As much as people bitch about sex after marriage or lack thereof, I wasn't exactly banging it out every night of bachelorhood. Then again, I'm just an average baw and not an OT balla.
My advice to OT is keep her happy and the sex train doesn't stop. Women gotta have that emotional part filled before they let you fill those other parts. Pay attention to her and sex doesn't stop. Now if and when you have kids...I can't help you. No one can.

In your defense, you and your cousin probably started dating sometime around pre-school. That's a long time to be with the same chick.

On the first night of the honeymoon when your getting busy but right before you reach the point of no return, look her right in the eyes and say
“You are so. Fvcking. Mine.”
Then anything you do the rest of your life, you'll have a free pass.
Well, maybe not that but it will drive her crazy in a good way.

save your money and elope
keep it pvt between you two.
live beneath your means
never go to bed angry
always greet each other with a kiss
talk things out, don't yell
stay happy that you found each other

As in, it doesn't magically become unicorns and rainbows. It's hard work. People think when they get married it's going to solve problems or become the golden age. It doesn't. It's the same.
Sorry your life/marriage sucks.

Good luck and hope you have a beautiful wedding day
Not gonna lie though.....that first big argument after you are married is an eye-opener. You realize you have to work it out with that person (unless you want to go through the divorce process). If you guys have any serious issues before the marriage....marriage isn't gonna fix it, it will magnify those problems x 100.

She's going to blow up like a frightened blow fish. Hope you're into bbw.

I'm a little disappointed that someone who's been on this site since 2007 is foolish enough to start a marriage thread on the OT, but I'll bite...
Take time to enjoy being married before you start a family. Spend money on yourselves, do what you want when you want, etc. In the 2+ years we've been married we have visited 10 countries (and a lot of the US), bought random "treat yo self" items, and essential just did as we pleased. We're now expecting baby #1 this summer and couldn't be happier, but it was nice to have a couple of years to focus on each other and the marriage before adding anyone else to the equation.

Take it from someone who's been there and somehow escaped with most of his assets. Don't do it.
HOWEVER, if you just have to ..... stash all of your assets to where you are the only one who knows that they exist and where they are at; and have a divorce lawyer waiting in the wings after the second kid pops out.
My favorite toast: Here's to girlfriends and wives ...... may they never meet.
