You'll get it someday. People interested in shared values and experiences? Shocking.

Of course. I have those with friends and family(which are people of all ages and multiple generations). Not random people that were simply born in the same 15 year window as me

That random person is much more likely to have shared experiences with you than someone 20 years older or younger.

isn't the current crop of whiners the offspring of Gen X?

Millennials are the late offspring of the Boomers. Like the dad had a kid at 50 with his third wife. Coddled and comfortable their whole lives. Older siblings are grown and gone, so they didn't have role models. Gen X's kids, for the most part, aren't even in high school yet.

If you got second place when I was growing up you were just at the top of the list with the rest of the losers. Pretty much ignored.

It's scary to me that he put that in there. I've been craving some good X for a coupe of decades now. I'm just not plugged in enough to be able to find any.

Agreed... Generation Y and the new Millenniums (BLM - Socialism - Everything Free) need to see this shite and get a grip on reality.

Here's the problem. Companies, politicians, etc, will continue to pander to these little fricks because they just took over the Boomers population wise. You can thank the boomers for producing at bunny rates for that shite. Gen X seems to have their shite together though. It's not a generation of whining or massive reproducing. We, for the most part, live withing our means and still remember what it was like in the "good old days" so to speak. Anyone 18 and under now has ZERO exposure to having to wait and appreciate anything. You want music? Click a button. You want movies? Click a button. You need toilet paper? Click a button. It's silly.

Gen X is the angry older sibling that is frustrated that Mom and Dad had more money to spend on younger siblings

I have seen it perfectly with my brother in law. Completely pissed that my wife and younger sister had a better car then he did. A better apt in college that her parents paid for since they had more money etc etc

Constantly angry and resentful of that. I can see how that is frustrating.

Absolutely. That's human nature.

We got over it, took what we had learned & made great lives. At this point, we just want to be left alone. That was the point of the article. Problem is, someone has to keep this shite show afloat. It's obvious that Boomers and Millennials aren't going to do it; so we figure it out. You should be nicer and more thankful to us though. When the Boomers die, you won't have anyone to take care of you any more.

Pointing out doesn't always = complaining. That's just the millennial in you thinking that. It's not like any of the shite their saying is wrong though.
