That would completely fly in the face of the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment

And to be honest, gay people probably dont care all that much

This wasnt about being able to get married in the Catholic church, this was about being able to get married, period, and have the same legal rights as opposite sex couples

Government shouldn't legislate morality... just like they shouldn't have been involved with Senate hearings regarding the steroid scandal in the 90's for MLB.

This is about equality in terms of legality. Absolutely 100% a government issue because you are married legally in the eyes of the government, not the church.

They aren't saying gay marriage is moral in the eyes of god. They are saying gay people can get married legally at the court house.

what happens in your church is your call.
