Baton Rouge Police escorted me out of the Metro Council Meeting tonight because I told Chandler Loupe, Scott Wilson, and Joel Boè they are the "most disrespectful white boys I've ever met."

I stand by what I said. Here we are attempting to address a healthcare need in Baton Rouge and they try to derail it. Not to mention Mayor Kip Holden comes out tonight and lies at the council meeting speaking against Champion Medical Center... Notice Kip has not supported anything in north Baton Rouge.

I have no problem getting put out of Metro Council meetings, because I won't continue to let these disrespectful, uninformed individuals speak against my community and get away with it.

I have talked with the remaining white council members Welch, Amoroso, Delgado, and Heck. Each of them understand my position and respect the work we are attempting to do. We may not always agree but we know how to push the conversations.

Thank you to the 8 council members who voted to support north Baton Rouge tonight, Chauna Banks, Ryan Heck, John Delgado, LaMont Cole, Erika Green Donna Collins-Lewis, Trae Welch, & Tara Wicker.

To anyone who says I'm disrespecting the mayor or the council when I stand up for my community... My answer is simple...

I felt disrespected when they closed ER's near my community. I felt disrespected when people said businesses weren't interested in my community. I feel disrespected that a black man in Baton Rouge earns 50¢ for every $1 a white man earns in Baton Rouge. Until black men and women in Baton Rouge have a REAL level playing field somebody has to fight for it. I'm a free man, and I'll function accordingly.

The saying goes you catch more bees with honey than salt... We've been giving honey to these folks for decades and getting screwed... So no, I'm not coming to play nice, I'm coming to get it done. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!

I saw a story recently he wrote about taking on the oil companies in the area with a picture of Exxon who gives more time and money to NBR than he could ever dream of. I guess since the money isn't coming from a black company he doesn't want it.
