It's had 9 deaths since the start of the year. This is also the same jail Trump was booked at 2 weeks ago. In July the DOJ announced an investigation of the jail.
Last Thursday 5 men were stabbed which resulted in the death of one inmate.

The other deaths from August:

Samuel Lawrence, 34 - was found unresponsive in his cell at the jail.

Alexander Hawkins, 66 - was found unresponsive in a medical unit cell.

Christopher Smith, 34, - was found unresponsive in a medical unit cell.

Montay Stinson, 40, - was found unresponsive in his cell. He had reportedly been in the jail for nearly a year, with bail set at $3,000.

Last September, Lashawn Thompson, 35, died in a bedbug-infested cell in the Fulton County Jail’s psychiatric wing. His body was found covered in insects. Fulton County settled with the family for $4 million. Thompson was in jail for a misdemeanor with a $2500 bail.

I have a feeling most, if not all, the "unresponsive in cell" deaths were fentanyl. Huge prob in all jails right now.

Ain’t nothing correctional about that facility. You’re going there to suffer.

You can judge a society by how it treats its prisoners. These are human beings and those allowing this to happen are not

I thought democrats participated in 'catch and release' and didn't believe in bail

There are enough laws that every one of us violates at least 1 or more each day.

Much of the government-run institutions in Fulton County are about as fricked up as a football bat.

They just arrested and booked a US President. There are laws against wrong thought and wrong speech. You underestimate the state and its willingness to imprison any and everyone.

It’s one thing to lock people up and put them to work doing hard labor. It’s another to have squalor and allow drugs and violence to go unchecked. It’s why i never laugh at the prison arse-rape jokes. To me, the jailers are just as much criminals as those locked up if they allow lawlessness in the place people go for breaking laws.
