orman said the dead man did not live at the single-story home where he was found, but was "from around" the neighborhood. Most only knew him by his nickname "Five," she said.

Do you people get a hard on everytime a person gets killed? Or only when it's a black person? Honest question.

This kind of smugness/barely restrained glee is common in these threads. Is there any other state where so many people hate the primary city so much that they actively root against its success?

Today makes the early 90s look like Disney World, where there more than 400 murders a year... At Touro, before Charity became the main trauma center, between the Magnolia and St Thomas projects, we'd get 1-2 GSW's a night...

A person dies, you make light of it, and people come and join in on your rabble... I'm sure you're only a teenager, you'll mature one day.

They are becoming better shots, shootings are down by 20, but 25 more fatal incidents.

What do you want him to do? The money isn't there to beef up the police force. Nola has a lot of freeloading assholes that don't pay taxes. Nothing he can do about that.
