Free river sand in Nola area

Anyone know if there are any spots to grab a load of river sand for free? There used to be a place on river Rd at powerline dr in harahan where they drudged the river but it ain't der no more.

Nah, I'll find it free... Since I'm a homeowner and the sand they dredge is mostly runoff and erosion from the land in Nola and Metairie, I feel i own it anyway.

Iv gotten a bunch from around the MS/LA border off of I-59, literally as much as I could shovel in my truck. I went to the first little white spot off of Honey Island road in this photo, that's the border.
