Normally, I would have just posted this on the Tech board or even travel, but not everyone visits those boards and it's time sensetive so I'm sharing here.
On top of the already free low speed data Tmo gives to customers who travel around the world, they are giving free high speed data in Europe for the rest of the summer. They also give an hour of WiFi on domestic Gogo equipped flights and that includes transfers so you would get another hour in flight after a layover. Here's the kicker for non Tmo customers, they are also giving free in flight WiFi to anyone else flying this weekend.

But, of course, T-Mobile didn’t stop there. For those travelling this weekend, T-Mobile announced it’s giving absolutely everyone – including Verizon and AT&T customers who never get thanked by their carrier – a full, free hour of Wi-Fi on all Gogo-equipped domestic flights—just to show everyone what it feels like to #GetThanked with the Un-carrier

A company setting up an artificial pay structure to throttle your internet should be a crime.
Your internet should go as fast as your modem, no matter what.
Want faster internet, buy a faster modem. Don't pay extra.
Same applies for cell phone text and data. They are making bank because of this. They could still make enough money without being criminals.

I have got to be honest. I have no idea of what your rant is about. If you are talking about the 1.5 mbs cap with BingeOn enabled, then you are flat out wrong about them. T-Mobile is A LOT more accommodating to it's customers than other carriers or even ISPs in some cases. All cell phone phone companies have tiered data, and all ISPs have tiered speeds and/or data limits. T-Mobile just gives you the option to use your data more efficiently, or you can turn that feature off and go full speed as much as you are willing to pay for.
1.5 mbs generally equates to DVD quality video and that looks good on a phone and really not to bad on a TV. I like having that choice to turn BingeOn on or off.
