it's crazy that some people's front doors open right on the sidewalk/street. No thanks

Depends on how far you want to move it.
$3500-$10000 at least.
that’s much cheaper than I thought.

If I had me a lot across St Charles in the channel or across Claiborne over in broadmore, somewhere close... I’d scoop it up. I bet it cleans up nice.

How many bullet holes does it have? I see at least one on the front.

how else you going to sit out on the stoop or on the gallery and be in middle of the action?

And who wants a front yard to have to mow? Hard pass

How much does it cost to move this?

I’m guessing anywhere from $20K to $35K. My dad had a house that size moved, and the company told him it was $30K, no matter if they moved it 3 feet or 30 miles.

How is it historic?

According tonNOLA preservationists, a building is historic if it's typical for the time it was built or if it's atypical. Seriously.

I've heard them use both arguments, even for buildings less than 50 years old.

The place actually looks pretty cool to me. Unfortunately, you’d never even recoup your moving costs when you decided to sell it.
