Franklinton versus Bogalusa which has a nicer CBD?

I can't imagine anyone in Franklinton or Bogalusa would consider any area the CBD.

Why not just live in downtown Covington?
Havent been to either in a long time but I wanna say Franklinton was more of a farming town but a decent looking area. Bogalousa is just bogalousa.

Neither has a cbd if I recall. One smells like a chemical plant. The other doesn't. Tough call. It might be commute or a cyanide tablet....

Neither town has a CBD, most decent people live in Pine and drive to both depending on whether they're going to Walmart/Maria's (Bogalusa) or Winn Dixie/Sonic (Franklinton).

Moved to Franklinton back in 2000 from Marrero. At the time I worked in Abita Springs and would commute everyday. Still live in Franklinton but as of April 2015 my office is now located inside of International Pape in Bogalusa. I don't mind working in Bogalusa but I love living in Franklinton. I don't miss the Westbank where I grew up. Franklinton reminds me of the Marrero of the 70's which I grew up in.

Living in st tammany all my life I feel like you should do some serious research on both places: business number, hospitals,schools, crime, business type atmosphere. I have been to both places many times. My personal choice would be Franklinton (farm community) fair number of businesses. My only thing on Bogalusa is the papermill fumes. I understand it is better now tha. 30 years ago. I could have saved a lot of words. REALLY DO SOME GOOD RESEARCH AND TALK TO THE LOCALS.

Bogalusa smells like arse from the Mill. It has maybe 3-6 bars that range from mediocre to trashy. High crime and lots of poor.
Franklinton isn't as bad, but still smells like arse from the dog food plant. It has even less bars. Less crime only because it's spread out.
I highly advise against living in either place. You better commute.
