Federal marshals had Fogle remove his suit jacket, tie and belt before they handcuffed him behind his back. Pratt said Fogle blew the chance he’d been given by living a double life and pointed out that the crimes he committed weren’t victimless.
He also said Fogle, whose wife filed for divorce on the day he agreed to plead guilty, admitted that he occasionally fantasized about children. Prosecutor’s asked for a 12 1/2 year sentence for the sex crimes. Fogle has agreed to pay $1.4 million in restitution to his 14 victims, 8 of whom are still minors. Under the federal law, he must serve at least 85 percent of that sentence before he’s eligible for release.
