While I don't think it'll ever come, I've said for a long time that the H2 was 15 years ahead of its time.

The H1/H2 would have been much more successful had it had 3rd row seats. The Excursion, even with the Triton V8, was a much better vehicle than the suburban and since it was built on the F250 platform, I'm going to say the Ex would be more viable.

For only $80,000, you can buy a brand new Chevy Suburban HD, which is actually built on a 1 ton chassis (not 3/4 ton).

Put a Duramax in it and it would beat Ford all day long.

I used to have a 2500 suburban with a diesel and damn do I miss it.

CAFE pretty much dooms both. In fact, full-sized truck based SUVs and full size pickups for non-commercial are in trouble because of laughably excessive CAFE - unless Trump does something about it.;

I hope that the Excursion comes back! Not that I'd ever be able to afford one but they're bad arse tanks.

Do they have an expedition EL with a diesel? Or 4x4?

They have a soccer mom / gramps expedition.

I would buy a new Ford excursion diesel now if they would make it.
I just recently saw a 2003 excursion with less than 100k miles sell for 30k

I guess I will just have to stick with the suburban.

It is a really good vehicle when you need 8 butts in seats, pull a camper and haul a buncha stuff. Just dont get hung up on mpg. I got 8 mpg last camping trip

44 gallon gas tank !!!
