For those who travel a lot for work, how do you handle flight delays?

Just started traveling 2-3 weeks out the month on May 1 and I've already ran into canceled flight and several delays when I'm trying to get home.

Sucks after a long week like this week and you're ready to be home. Do you get pissed off or just DWI?

Go to the bar and work on your game.

Perfect situation. You can't bang them and you'll never see them again

Get a platinum Amex and hang out in the club.

I used to travel a lot in the beginning before I switched careers. You embrace delays.

And if the flight is cancelled in it's entirety, there's usually free rooms, food, and flight vouchers, etc.

I make sure to grab another meal on the company's dime due to the delay.

6 dollar beers sound a lot more appetizing in an airport

Sucks that you've experienced so many delays in such a short span. What airline do you fly usually?

Get club access. In reality, it sucks....I play on here and listen to music a lot. It passes time pretty quickly. But club access is awesome with snacks, free booze, and free internet (I have sprint hot box for work so it's free anyway). If you travel that much, I'd consider it. Like Rummy said, platinum AMEX is solid. I have a Delta Reserve Card because that's my main airline out of BTR.

I mean, I've never had any delays. Just some lengthy layovers sometimes.

Different airlines. Company pays, I pick up the ticket and go.

I've had to drive because of cancelled flights and I've stayed an extra night too. Not a whole lot you can do sometimes. Take the free night and enjoy it. I got kids so every work trip is like a vacation.
