Update: finally got in touch with her.

My mom got covid a few days ago. Couldn’t leave due to how bad she felt. I’m in Bham and couldn’t get down there with my job. I’ve called for 2 days and can’t get her. No family in area. Her only friend is in hospital with covid. If anyone is near 740 Orion ave in Metairie and can check to see if she’s ok I would be forever grateful.

Email uabebm@gmail.com
2056015918 can message me.

She has lung issues and uses an nebulizer. Hopefully won’t lose power

Did you try calling local police and ask for a welfare check on your mom now while they can get out?

Man, I'm not trying to be a dick, but if I didn't know if my mom was dead or alive and "couldn't" leave because of my job I'd let them fire my arse.

Im not going to derail this thread, but you should have been in the car 2 days ago.

It does require access to wifi. Most of my people staying have generators. Hopefully there internet holds up and we can use it to communicate.

It won't. Your phone doesn't have an internal radio transmitter to do what people think this app will do.

Dude frick your job what are doing? I’m sorry for being blunt but that’s your fricking mother! Get your arse in the truck and get moving and tell your boss to eat a bag of ducks if he doesn’t understand.

He got someone super nearby who will be checking in on her as well as many on his block. Told me that in the big storm thread.

And it sounds great but not everyone can just up and leave ...

We don’t know tss4’s details, nor do we need to. Sounds like his mom may need help, this probably isn’t the time to give him s#!¥

Zelle is the same as WiFi calling, which can be enabled from your smart phone.

No internet, and zelle is worthless
