Recently went on vacation and came home to a loaf of bread that was 2 weeks past the "best by" date but was perfectly fine. It wasn't even dry in the least bit like bread gets towards the end of that sell by date. I can only guess that not opening the bag for that 10 days I was gone kept it fresh? But I ate every bit of it.

Well this is a load of bullshite. Just ate a bowl of stale popcorn that my 5 yr old didn't eat earlier tonight. Enjoyed it immensely. In fact, it was the inspiration for this shitty thread to begin with
