Allegedly, Aileen Wuornos fricked the lead singer and said he's got a micro-peen.

When I was in HS back in the 80's, there were a group of guys we called the Foghat nerds... They wore these pretty much everyday..

Saw Foghat and Focus during Mardi Gras 1973.
I was 15 and in the 10th grade. Walked to the Warehouse from downtown, under the Mississippi River Bridge and bought a ticket, walked back to downtown, hitchhiked later that day for the concert, then walked back en masse late that night.
It was a lot of walking. From Canal Street I kept going left (north) up N.Peter St. because I thought the Warehouse must be in the Quarter. Turning right at Canal, which went south, the road became Tchoupitoulas Street which eventually led to the Warehouse. Opposite end of the world from the French Quarter.

Turns out “Slow Ride” is about BR traffic.

Are any original members still alive?

Roger Earl, The Drummer is still with the band. The lead Guitar player, Bryan Bassett, has been with the band since 1999 and before that he was in Lonesome Dave's version of Foghat in the early 90's. I think that's long enough in the band to say you have a huge stake in it.
The original Bassist, Tony Stevens, retired and his first replacement in the 70s, Craig McGregor came back in the 2000's to replace him again. CM just passed away from Cancer a few years ago. The new bass player, Rodney Quinn, played with Pat Travers and lives in the same area as Roger Earl and Bryan Bassett. Small circle.
The singer who replaced Lonesome Dave (who's wish it was for Foghat to continue after his death from Cancer in 2000), Charlie Huhn, came on in 2001 and just retired last last year. The new singer is Scott Holt. He had his own thing and also was in Buddy Guy's band.
So, all in all, I'd say that between Roger Earl and Bryan Bassett, you have enough of the group left standing. But, hater's are gonna hate. Just go, enjoy the music and appreciate the fact that rock and blues are still alive.

Try using one of their big hits, perhaps SLOWRIDE? I'd suggest using that after 10am this morning.
FYI, most presale passwords are easy to figure out if you know anything about the act.

The Warehouse had a music newspaper In Your Ear.
There was a photo in one of the issues of a band member, maybe from Foghat, with a girl from Hammond sitting on his lap. He was sucking on her nipple with a soda* straw.
*Soda, Cold Drink, Pop, Coke, etc. Maybe milk or water.
