Just FYI parents with crying kids are way more embarrassed than you are frustrated/annoyed. Well good parents that is.

Sat next to one on a recent trip. The fact that airlines allow parent of small children to avoid buying a ticket if they can sit on their lap is fricking ridiculous. Not only did this child cry and scream 85% of the time but he kicked and squirmed way beyond the limits of his mother's seat which encroached into my seat area. I got hit by swinging arms and legs at least 20 times. I had ear buds in to try and drown out the crying but at one point he decided he wanted the wires. I turned to the mother when he did it and she just smiled and mouthed "sorry". EVERY person on the plane should have a seat. At least that would give them some area to move.

And to think if you had just made a few better life choices you wouldnt have this problem. Karma sucks.

Small children and infants on a plane is just a fact of life that you will never be able to avoid.

You have 2 options:
1: Learn to adapt and deal with it. Understand that it is just temporary and that you will survive. Also understand that it is probably way more stressful for the parents than it is for you.

2: Make internet threads bitching about this mild inconvenience in your life.

So what do you want me to do? Just not fly places? You want us to not eat at restaurants too? I guess we shouldn't see movies on openning night either?

Sorry but when you have a baby you don't sign a contract to make everyone's life perfect. We're continuing the species, you can deal with the minor inconvenience.

i go back and forth with it. I have 9.5 mo and we are looking at a vacation soon.

I would hate to be the parents of a crying baby because i know how i felt about it prior to having a son. HOwever, driving 10 plus hours might be even more cruel to keep him in a car seat that long.

I am confident that if he started crying on the plane, we could give him puffs or some other treat, and it will shut him up

also, i think flying in the evening time is a better option so he can sleep

Yeah, but I bet the flight attendant's arse isn't so broad that she shoulder tackles every passenger with her huge fat arse as she walks up and down the aisle. Like on my current flight!

I gotta start sitting by the window.

When the choice come down to inconveniencing my child or some whiny douche on the internet, my child wins out

Next time you fly, why no charter a private jet. Shouldn't have that problem then.

ungodly worst smelling fart on a plane > crying baby

I was flying to LA last year out of NOLA and someone farted before we took off. I almost threw up it was so bad. Nearly half the plane were gagging.

yes. The person quietly travelling and who is willing to speak up against the inconsiderate nature of others is the problem
