Yeah. I'm gonna have to consider that a safety issue. Not the kind of thing you want your kid randomly throwing into conversations.

Yeah you mean the scenario where If you are driving down the road and you see a group of blacks on the sidewalk, how you should address them??

It's about context. The word isn't going away. But the context in which it's used matters a great deal.
