They were absolutely untouchable when I was in college 8 years ago. And the hazing was BAD. Had several friends in SAE. I went to Ole Miss and there was moderate hazing that was mostly just funny stuff, but when I'd visit them it was next level shite. I don't think I could put up with it. They would take beatings without fighting back.

When I went to a party at Alabama last year they had a pledge sitting in an upside down trash can huffing a pack of reds. After like 20 minutes the dude was passed out in his own puke

... it became a great hotbox

SAE's at Ole Miss were the worst on hazing when I was there, broke some pledges legs, left them in freezer at beer distributor for hours, etc. They would all get fricked up and let them have it.

Does anyone think that that Hazing like this serves any purpose?

Ummm...$70k as an accountant who is old enough to have a kid in college is not really much money.

Maybe that was the point he was making. TBH, there aren't that many kids going to state schools in the south whose families have frick You money. There are a few, but not many. And the ones who do have it didn't get that way by wasting it on their kids' frickups. Most parents are making at least some financial sacrifice to send their kid to college. I knew plenty of guys who claimed Daddy had the connections to bail them out of any trouble. When trouble arrived, either academic or disciplinary, Daddy was unable, unwilling, or both, to come ot the rescue. Junior ended up in the military, working at a shite job while he sat out a couple of semesters, or living back home going to the local commuter school.

Top middle guy looks like he's already thinking about payback.

If top middle guy is thinking about that, he's too stupid to realize his situation has gone way beyond any supposed payback. His name is in the google machine now, and it will follow him the rest of his life.

SAE

has done away with pledges altogther nationaly in a effort to stop hazing. You bid and become active within 3 days I believe. I pledged SAE at tech in 96 (the year some died at LSU I believe) so I'm not exactly sure with all of the policy now, but I've read a little.

why would you ever disrespect your beliefs and let these idiots make you do something against your will, just go be able to be in their group?"

At some point, the brothers are looking for a pledge with enough sack to say, "frick you, I'm not standing in the cold-arse bucket of water any longer." I doubt there was a gun involved. Pledges sound like weak-arse pussies.

There are a lot more than you'd think at Alabama. (I'm not one of them, or even close). I think it has to do with our success in football that it became a "hip" place for a bunch of rich kids to come to.

There's definitely a pipeline from Mtn Brook to Tuscaloosa that is filled with frick-you money. They don't pledge FIJI though.

Guys with shitty haircuts like these shouldn't be allowed to roam the streets. Kudos to law enforcement, for once.
