So I am supposed to receive a package today that is time sensitive. The item was sent to me by UPS next day air. The UPS man usually comes around 530-600 in the evening which is wonderful. Today, that man showed up at 9:33... Am... On a Tuesday....

The problem is that there is a signature required for this package so he can't just leave it at the front door.

I try to go online and change the delivery time to this afternoon when I will be home from work, but I can't make a redelivery attempt on the same day. So I call the UPS store (which the woman who answered informed me is NOT ups...) and she said that I can choose to have it delivered there but it definitely won't happen until at least Thursday.....

What the hell. The truck is surely within driving distance and should be able to drop it off at the end of its route.

I'm just pissed off at their timing for delivery of signature required items....

It's my replacement phone. It has a shipping label to send back my broken phone. If I don't get to to them in a certain number of days, they charge me $600.

So wait a minute...you're essentially pissed off because they delivered your package to you too quickly.

And then you're mad because the driver won't just go back at the end of his route to deliver you your package personally on his own time?

Yeah, first world problems indeed..." they delivered my package too fast!!! "

You sound like whiny douche. That's how UPS works. If every single person wanted them to route their packages to a different UPS store location on the same day the delivery guy would never finish his route.

I guess you're the self entitled guy that thinks everyone should rearrange their schedule to try and accommodate what you want.

Its ok, you will get your shipment of tampons on Thursday. You can hold out for 2 days I'm sure.

A. I didn't know the shipper sent it Next day air.

B. It's pretty shitty to require a signature if you are going to deliver it during working hours.

C. Had I known they were going to have it delivered at this time I would have made arrangements.

I didn't even receive a tracking number until after the failed delivery attempt.

Seems like the countdown to return the original should start from the time you receive the replacement and label, not from when you requested it. (At least that's how Amazon works but Amazon kicks arse.) I mean, what if you never get the replacement, you're still supposed to send them the original back within a certain time period?

If not wanting to be charged $600 makes me a whiney douche, then so be it.

Within ten calendar days. Of receipt and it must be at their facility within 20 calendar days of their original shipment.

Call UPS and get them to track the driver. Drive to where they are, and get your phone. I've done this a couple of times.

Call the 1-800 number for UPS see if they can intercept it and tell them your dilemma. Sometimes they can do the things.

I'm more or less fricking with you, but it boils down to you bitching that they delivered your package too well.

And I'm wanting to call bullshite that you got a tracking number AFTER the failed attempt. Also, most of the time my deliveries come when I'm not at home...the item requiring a signature is something you know about beforehand, so you could've made arrangements, no? They don't magically add "signature," right?

You'll be fine then. Don't see why you're so worked up about it.
