1979 Plymouth Trailduster

Same as pic, but colors were inverted. Had the Canadian speedometer with KMph. Lots of memories in this truck (along with some stains in the back).

Actually bought it myself, but Pops had to sign the note.

97 grand am. Bought at auction for 4500 bucks. Had 86k miles on it. I put 70k of the hardest miles of all time on it in two years. Every single shift of that 70k miles was a floor shift at 6300 rpm.

I used to drive the poor thing around in 3rd gear tached out because third gear didnt have a cut out, fourth gear did.

We bombed down pipelines constantly, sunk it twice, and melted the coupler from manifold to downpipe. Literally melted the plastic heater core.

It was a streetracing machine. That 2.4L was a hoss.

Traded it in two years later at price LeBlanc for 2000 bucks.

I'll see if I can find the pictures somewhere of it 4ft pff the ground and floating like a butterfly.

No car bought for me, received a 1997 Dodge Dakota that had been handed around the family. It had a V6 and was a total dog. Good looking year for the Dakota though

Was a hard choice...... either $100 bucks or '76 Grand Prix. Took me a week to make that choice, LOL!

Dad let me drive his '82 4x4 Toyota Pickup...looked just like this one.

Then he helped me buy a 1972 VW Bus (Tennessee orange and white...which was huge, since he is a Kentucky fan). The first year with the 2000 cc engine.

Maybe a 1990 Accord, then a 1990 Toyota Tacoma, then a 1998 Accord...after that I was on my own. And I won't say they "gave" them to me, the 90 Accord was the first one I drove and it was my Dad's. I only got to use it when it was available, so it wasn't mine. The 90 Tacoma was one I got from my Paw Paw.

Diesel Mercedes in 1973. You turned a key and pulled a starter but the started kept going out so Dad rigged it with wires under the dash. Guess I was a bit ghetto!

Was it a 220D, or a 240D? We had an old 220D back in the day...two tone brown (so the soot didn't show up as bad).

1982 Ford F100. I gave that pos hell, but it kept on going. My dad paid for a paint job and some tires and rims. It didn't look too bad after that. It also had duel tanks, so I could play the "I'm out of gas!" prank.

When I went to college, my parents bought me a new Z71.

Mine was white though and it was my Grandpas. It had 18,000 miles on it when I got it in fall of 2000
