I've seen people beg for attention in these situations. Especially the reserve/guard guys who went to the desert and never left base.

It really irritates me

Combat, PTSD, fireworks & flashbacks.

I don't get the joke. What's so funny?

A lot of reserve/guard guys have seen more combat than most active duty guys.

The guy you were replying to has probably never encountered that situation in reality. Very true, reserve/guard guys have seen plenty of combat.

I think you mean fobbits. I have been side by side with plenty of reserve guys in combat situations.

When I went, I dug a big hole, and covered it with kevlar, then I stole everyone's SAPI plates and lined it with SAPI plates. I lived in the hole the whole time.

It was just a SGM yelling at guys going into the DFAC with dirty ACU's after patrol.

Ha Ha Ha, it is so true. This happened to me, sort of. Dirty uniform and getting my first hot meal in a week and some Fobbit tells me I can't eat in their chow hall in a "soiled" uniform. I told him to call my commander, and he did.

But yeah, the video is still stupid.

Eh, the big commercial fireworks, the ones they shoot from tubes, sounds a lot like a Russian 82mm mortar launch.

i'm not trying to make a look at me post but I did 2 tours in the sandbox as a reservist and we did see plenty of action. lost a few good friends and a good number of others came back wounded. one of my high school buddies will never walk again. so yes, reservist have indeed saw much combat.
