And ban all electronics in cars, even hands-free systems?

Okay, then.

One beer is around 0.02

After one hour your bac is back to zero

So 0.05 is about three beers in one hour

You have nothing to worry about if you don't drink if you plan on driving. It's really simple.

this is not really a point

if you've ever had alcohol, then at some point it was in your system and over time it metabolized out of your system. i guarantee you that you had no idea of its status as it metabolized and, more importantly, the exact point where you were OK to drive. the question isn't how much you've had to drink; the question is the time necessary to metabolize alcohol. that's a fluid scenario

Really won't affect me. When I'm out at a bar, unless I've got a DD, I have a personal one drink rule already. And even if I have a DD, I never get shitfaced anyway.

The margin of error for most field breathalyzer machines used by law enforcement officers is approximately .05. How convenient...

Not really. Ive just been around long enough to know nothing good comes from getting drunk out at a public bar. On the rare occasion when I feel like tying one on, I can do that at the clubhouse or home.

So you're saying I can chug 4 beers, wait an hour, and chug 4 more and be at 0.08? Ha, riiiiight.

Meanwhile texting and driving is completely ubiquitous and impossible to curtail.

I've come up on three accidents in the past two months. All three were the result of texting and driving. Why don't they focus on doing something about all the cell phone use when behind the wheel?
