Doubt the boyfriend was involved. I think he was working in Dubuque. Now, somewhere along her run there was a man who sat on his porch every night and watched her pass his house. He did notice she did not pass the house that night, hmmm.

I know the boyfriend was cleared, but this quote from the mom struck me as telling. As per your link,
quote:

A lot of it was nonsensical stuff, as she was trying to bring him back to the top of her favorites list. He is not much for social media and some of her friends had recently bypassed him. So she wanted him back on the top of the list.

Telling of what? What is she even talking about?

So he was not the neighborhood watch guy?

The most important question hasn’t been provided yet—did she get her 10,000 steps in or not?

Street Smarts!

You need to get them money clips with a $50 bill they can throw at the attackers to run the other way.

but in cases like this, it reminds me that perhaps she is keen on being overly aware of the surroundings.

Women should always, always stay aware of their surroundings when alone and not just at night. We also shouldn’t wear earbuds because it makes it easier for someone to approach from out of sight. Not sure I could run without earbuds though.

Wish more women would trust their instincts when they feel something is “off”.

I don't gget why females do things like go running in the most secluded places

For the scenery.
To get away from traffic, dangers of getting hit by a car.

go running at 10PM or late a night or extra early

It's cooler. Can be too hot during the middle of the day.

They are 80% of the time, but I have a feeling this is a case of the other 20%.

Yep. Just last year we had women down by UofL and my work that were getting snatched and raped in broad daylight. In an area where there are a lot of college kids walking to cars, people running/jogging, etc.

Anytime I walk/jog down there (and even anymore, walking to my car in the evening if I do some OT), I carry mace with me.

Dalton Jack, the missing student's boyfriend, said he's the one who noticed something wasn't right.

I take that as she was supposed to return to the boyfriend’s house after jogging and never showed up?

I'm way too old and cynical. I take it as meaning he had something to do with it.

But you can go running between 6pm to 8pm at least. Its cooler around then as well. 10pm...come on. Thats like asking for it

And you can get scenery running on trails and stuff like that but not every running path is in the line of traffic or cars. Take LSU lakes for instance. Or Trinity River trail here in FW.

The one who was out of town and has been cleared by police? I’ll take that bet. When can I send you a Venmo request?

Agree with this, but a good dog solves that problem. I know she was dog sitting but a dog that doesn't routinely go jogging won't be able to keep up with an avid jogger for long.
