Lakeview bank robbery

A man suspected of robbing a Capital One branch in Lakeview Tuesday afternoon(July 26) is now wanted by the FBI, according to an FBI spokesman.

Federal authorities are investigating the scene of the crime at 7033 Canal Boulevard, where the FBI said an unidentified man entered the bank at approximately 12:50 p.m. Described as a man between 25 to 30 years of age, the FBI said the suspect approached the counter and demanded money from the teller. He then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money

Doesn't the FBI investigate all bank robberies?

Mount Carmel Academy is right around the block.

And yes, Banks are all backed by the feds and regulated by them. Not counting credit unions.

A bank robbery in 2016 seems like the most asinine choice for a criminal. As far as crimes go, the risk/reward is absurd.

Depends on how you look at it...

Pretty easy crime to do and the chances of getting shot are really low...

The downside is that it is a federal crime, so if you're caught, it isn't good.

Point Break was in 1991 - so they had masks for 4 of the 5 previous Presidents, notably skipping Ford.

Because he was too boring to rob banks.
