I have to go with NWA/Jim Crockett. It's hard to beat the original War Games concept with the Horsemen, Midnight and Rock N Roll Express, Road Warriors, Sting.

This and Mid South.

When the Freebirds came to Mid South/UWF, that was awesome. Michael Hayes calling Jim Ross 'Spakny' while commentating

Mid-South/UWF was almost a precursor to Nitro/Raw. You always had good matches on TV and good angles. Meanwhile most territories would put squash matches on TV.

It really depends on where you grew up, but mid south/UWF>JCP>Georgia Championship Wrestling>AWA>WWF.

World Class was my favorite to watch in the late 80s on ESPN at my grandparents after school.

I had no idea that the Von Erichs were getting higher than giraffe pussy on all kinds of drugs. Sad story

When I was a kid "Georgia Championship Wrestling" on Saturday with the great Gordon Sole calling it was the best.On WTBS,I guess.

That was a close second to Mid-South, mainly because my dad would take me to live Mid-South matches now and then. Gordon Solie was a legend. I believe it was WTCG, then became WTBS maybe late 70s-ish?
