He let his kids live life.

I bet when your kid gets hit by the ball while he's at bat in little league he starts crying. He's a pussy.

Oh, that's rich.

In all seriousness, they both hit the ball VERY well last night.

They'll be the same big "pussies" that drop the hammer on that special little badass someone else is raising out there. It'd be yours, but we live in an affluent area.

Your dad never won a fight in his life and you are going to call another posters kid a pussy?

I'm sorry but crying doesn't equal being a pussy, beta, etc.

Doesn't mean shite. A boy I grew up with cried every time he got HBP in LL and went on to be a starting LB in college and was a beast. One of the toughest guys I knew in high school. I laughed when I got HBP and I suck at life and don't half remember college.

I'm all for tough love and making your kids tough, etc. just like my old man, but he would never risk injuring us like this. This will all be old news soon.

Enjoy denham springs.

Careful sending your kids to live oak. The pregnancy rate is absurd there.

what if said father is only vicariously pushing the little boy for his own selfish reasons?

Stupid and calls for unreasonable speculation.

The father was being a father. You have ZERO info to speculate otherwise.

At least his father is there, with him, and in his life....was yours? Did he have to "push" you in some ways?

This pretty much sums it up. It's possible to instill whatever qualities he was trying to convey without the risk.
