Fairway View of the 1970s and 1980s is long gone.

It has been full of hood rats and heroin junkies, and multi-housing of internationals by unit owning slumlords for well over a decade now.

Place went totally south after Hawk quit bookmaking out of the Fairway View Club and sold it to Ouncy.

They need to keep this shite confined to the nighttime. I don't need all the commotion when I'm trying to tee off on #6 at Webb.

Both men shot have died from their injuries. When do the marches, protest, and riots begin?

Lived at Fairway View 2004–2007. RIP Bar and grill and also the truck my grandfather gifted me as a graduation gift. The riff raff down the street stole it one night and never was recovered by BRPD.

No joke. That is 100% all of on-duty 2nd District and probably part of 1st. Which means most of the city has zero police coverage.

I don’t think people realize how few police are on the street at night. And hell the sheriff’s office for the unincorporated area is even worse.

I would think it’s worse than that. 1st, 3rd, 4th, K9, and anyone nearby on a detail also likely responded. You could definitely do whatever you wanted tonight for at least an hour or two.

In NOLA, there are as few as 1 or 2 units out in some districts. In the East, units can be on their own with nearest backup 15-20 minutes away….

And they wonder why recruiting is difficult…

I lived there in 2001. It was OK but I had far better options. My issue was the only roommate I could find in my social circle already lived there.

There were several students living there mixed in with adults.

I am sure that no students live there now.

Taking a life in the performance of lawful duties by agents of the government is kind of a big deal.

You do remember what happened in the weeks following the Alton Sterling incident in 2016?

Getting these investigations right and getting information out to the public BEFORE the radicals start creating their own narratives is important.

Surely, everyone now understands and appreciates the massive responses.

ETA: The response wasn’t the entire Precinct. The majority, but not close to everyone.

I do love the last part of UFK article that the State Police are investigating the shooting.

That like the keystone cops letting the 3 stooges investigate the shootings. If this goes the wrong way politically the cop toast.

Would LAPD ever punt an OIS to Pocherlla and John Baker with CHP back in your day?

I live less than a mile away in one of the most expensive areas of town. I’m so tired of this shite city.
