100% of the population over 18 are criminals. The problem is with an over criminalized repressive system, not the people

I have no doubt that this is true, but are they CONVICTED criminals? people get away with a lot of stuff, and a lot gets overlooked, swept under the rug,etc..Usually, when an actual conviction happens, there have already been some prior things. the system, the families have run out of ways to handle it,and the prison solution is Hands in the air type of thing

the people who can be rehabilitated, get off with a warning. That's the rehabilitation, if you have to do jail time you might as well be.....

So there was probably no evidence against him at the time?

That's why they build courthouses, elect judges, sit juries, hire lawyers... Otherwise we'd just let police execute the first guy they suspect of a crime.

and as evidenced by the downvote, some people think that that's the way the justice system should work. At least until a police officer is caught abusing his powers then they are outraged.

Robertson was charged with Second Degree Murder on Nov. 5, 2009. However, that case was ruled no true bill by a grand jury on Mar. 19, 2010.

There's an old saying that a DA could indict a ham sandwich with a grand jury. Which means if a grand jury failed to indict, there really was no evidence he did it.

This a big problem. Criminals learn from a young age that their criminal behavior will not result in meaningful consequences, but instead third, fourth, fifth, sixth chances

And here comes the blatant racism.

I mean, you can look up the crime stats pretty easy. Unless the crime stats are racist.

Terrible news about the sexual abuse of a minor, but looks like he probably did some favorable house-cleaning on the murders.
