Did we actually make it to page 3 and not one DB post stating to get a Tundra? Maybe the OT is turning a corner.

I had to decide between a Lariat and a Laramie. Choice was easy to me going with the Ram Laramie. Much nicer truck, and cost significantly less. Ram boxes are the bees knees.

Ram will always be the Daimler chrysler product. Therefor will never hold up long term compared to the other truck brands. More flimsy plastic parts all over that thing than found in Ford or GMC products.

Did your grandpa tell you that?

I just went through this decision in June. I have no brand loyalty when it comes to vehicles so I was open to anything. I ended up with a Ram Big Horn. For the money, I just felt like I got so much more with the ram than I could get with an F150 for the same price. The touchscreen and camera are incredible, the seats are really comfortable. The 4 corner coil over suspension is very smooth. The hemi has a ton of power and is a very reliable motor. It get decent fuel mileage. And the Ram Boxes are legit. I am planning on keeping this truck for ~10 years. I can’t imagine buying another truck that doesn’t have the ram boxes.

depends really on what you're looking for:

better looking- ford
better fuel- ram
better ride- ram
better trade value- ford
better motor- hemi
better tranny- ford

this should help a little. i was always a ford man and now i drive a ram. so far.....i love it.

Ram. Had a 2017 F-150, started smoking at 40k miles. The Ram is nicer, turns better, rides better, and pulls the boat and tractor better.

First of all, Ram. Second, Sierra before F150.

Couple of minor things about the F150.

Ford has the patent on the door keypad. I love this feature. I never have to carry keys anywhere so convenient.

The room in the interior, especially the back seat is very nice.

It rides great and I get 23/24 MPG

I have a 2016 with 162,000 miles and have never had an issue. I will be purchasing the 2021 or 2022

This. I've been in the car business for 15 years. Stop telling dealers you're paying cash like it gives you big nuts to negotiate. We'd rather you finance because believe it or not these huge discounts are sometimes losses to the dealership that a few hundred bucks from the finance company helps balance out.

So actually you paid more. With 0% interest financing you could have made money with your cash so you actually paid more for your truck you idiot.
You could also lose money...

Yall act like this is some slam dunk reasoning

1. You will pay about 5-10 grand less if you do cash v financing even at 0%.

2. Over 3-5 years (the life of the financing), there is zero guarantee at all you make money in the market in that short amount of time. An even if you do, you need to guarantee 5-10% return or so just to break even with the cash guy

To be fair, with 0% interest you end up losing dealer rebates so the price is higher.

I just bought a new car and paid dealer invoice minus $3000 off in rebates and incentives AND got 0% for 60 months

Ram. It will be ready to be replaced by then.

Okay, if you are only keeping it that long, either should be fine. Go with what's more comfortable.

RAM has employee pricing this month... One of my local dealers is advertising a $72,000 20MY Limited for $60,000. I'd go RAM.

I drove Fords for 15 years. Bought a '20 Laramie a year ago, traded a F150 platinum on it. The Ram is light years ahead of the Ford in every way, even in mid grade trim.

He said 7-8 years so any of the domestics with a few shop visits should suffice. He's not looking for a long term truck.
