Looking at both the 2016 Ford and GMC trucks. The features I want are 4x4, V8, towing package for pulling boat and camper. The Ford and GMC both have leather, Nav, back up camera. The Ford has heated and cooled seats and sunroof but not sure if the GMC has the cooled seats or sunroof. Don't really want the sunroof but it comes with that package.

I like the looks of the Ford better but they are offering incentives on the GMC that make it $10,000 cheaper than the Ford. It's hard to justify spending ten grand more on the Ford.

I've owned two Tahoes and a suburban in the last ten years and never had any issues. Never owned a Ford so no personal experience.

Any of you good gentlemen care to share any personal experiences with your Fords or GMC's that might shed light on my decision making process?

TIA.

You can get the GMC with heated/cooled seats without a sunroof.

Do you like money?

Seriously. I'm a Ford guy and it would be tough for me to spend 10k more just to get a Ford.

Neither truck is worth the money. Hardly any new truck is worth the money right now. If you go 3/4 or 1 ton, diesel - gov regs have messed up a lot of diesel stuff with DPF, re-circ, and so forth. But gas engine in larger truck is not the way to go at all. In 1/2, just a small load of supplies from Home Depot will make it sag. They just aren't worth the high price tags right now.

Trucks used to be functional, now they're like bling and the prices have moved up considerably as a consequence.

I agree. I love the Ford, just cannot see paying 10k more. I may check a few other Ford dealers tomorrow just to see if someone can get close to the GMC.

LOVED my F150. Great truck. Never had a problem with it. Never had a problem with my GMC Yukon either. Most of the time, its dependability is directly related to how you take care of it. All that said, this is my new ride and it is bad arse so far...

Because all GM products are cheap shite and worth (for a well optioned truck) around $10K less than a comparable Ford and probably $5K less than a comparable dodge. GM products are made out of the cheapest shite they can scrounge up at the time and it shows

I can't believe the sticker prices either. They have a King Ranch in the Showroom that lists at $64k. I don't see the value as most of the upgrades are all cosmetic. Insane prices.

I have a gas burning 2500 Chevy right now and it hauls fine and is a lot quieter than the last three diesels I had. I just wanted something quieter but who knows might get a diesel next. I've had several General Motors and Ford and like them both. All things pretty close to equal it's not worth 10k more.i had a 350 king ranch that was a beast but a democrat in a Volvo took that one from me.

It's hilarious that people started downvoting my choice of truck immediately.

Fortunately for me, not a single frick is given this day.
