Is there a real tuner or chip out there that gives better MPG? I've looked around on the Ford forums and I'm not sure what's real and what's a bot.

I have a 2016 stock F250 6.7 turbo diesel and am getting 12.1 mpg on average.

You looking to lose emissions too?

12.1 seems low. I have a 2017 now and I average around 18. Had a 2016 prior to this and I recall averaging in the upper 15s…

Damn.

My neighbor just got back from pulling his 5th wheel to Colorado with his new dodge Cummins 4wd...

Got 14.5 mpgs

Something Def wrong. My 2013 f250 gasser gets better fuel mileage

I have a 2016 that is now deleted and tuned. Before all that I was getting about 15.5 with 37” tires.

Honestly, it sounds like your truck is stuck in the regen mode and dumping fuel. How long have you been averaging that? I’ve heard anecdotal evidence of low mpg and then the powerstrokes throwing emissions error codes then going into limp mode.

I caught shite from all my baws for selling my F-150 and buying a 2021 Corolla.
32-36 MPG later, Im the one laughing all the way to the pump/bank.

The speed limit.

Every person I know who has a 250 gets close to the same mpg I get. Maybe somewhere around 13 with no mods.

Ive has this truck for about a year.

My last 250 was deleted with a tuner and it only got 14 mpg at best.

I don't know where guys are getting 18+ mpg.

Dang, my 18 gets 16-17mpg and 9mpg when pulling my 40ft 5th wheel. 12 doesn't seem right.

I haven't decided yet.

I couldn't sell my last 250 because of the delete. No one wanted it because it wouldn't pass smog.

If there was a tuner out there that can eliminate the need for DEF without having to gut my exaust, I'd get it.

I have no problem spending a couple grand on a tuner, but not for only 2-3 more mpg

Why not?

Both my brother's get under 14.

My ex business partner's also did u til he tuned it,deleted it and changed out the manifolds

Another buddy just got a 2021 dually. It gets 11 mpg.

Could it be I live in the desert at a higher elevation?

I have never met anyone with a turbo diesel here in Nevada or Utah who gets better than 14 mpg with their stock trucks.

I've heard stories, which is why I'm here.

No, but I know that's about where I'm at. I drive about 180 miles per day (mostly interstate) and am putting anywhere between 15-20 gallons every day depending on if I'm towing my trailer that day, running late and going about 85, or if I decide to fill up closer to home or closer to Vegas where I'm working.

If I did the math, it would probably be right at 13 if it was an ideal day with moderate speed and no towing.

The same people that buy F-250s to look tough are the same ones whining on tik tok vids about brandon’s gas prices

I have to have the truck for my business. It's bone stock and a necessity. I don't care to show off.

I have a gas getter and a family SUV, too.
