I'm not supposed to talk about this...but what the hell.
A project being worked on by the USAF and General Dynamics to open portals into other worlds has been under way for about 4 years.
By now I'm guessing they have reached phase 3 which involves opening these portals.
From what I understand closing these portals too quickly is creating those annoying arse booms.
BTW if you see a mist.....run like hell.
