Like right next? Never done that.
My inlaws live about a minute and a half from us though. I haven't had many issues with it.

Parents bought the house next door, and my brother bought the house across the street. No problems, parents take care of my kid (soon to be kids,) brother is my best friend. I cook every Sunday for the family. Everyone respects each others boundaries, and we have never been closer as a family.

Definitely has its benefits if you have young kids. My sister in law lives 8 houses away and helps with our kids a good bit.

Yeah, like I want my mom and dad in on all my drug-fueled parties.

I think it depends on the kind of relationship you have with your family. The fact that you even thought to ask this says you should probably move a few towns over at least.

I live by my whole family. Parents on one side. Brother on the other side. Cousins down the road. It's really not an issue. We have butted heads on some stuff but we have gotten closer. We live out in the country so it's nice to have people around you that can watch after your stuff if you're not there.

I hooked up with a girl once who lived next to her parents and aunts and uncles and grandparents.. She said it wasn't to bad but I never went over there again

Lived 100 yards from my mother in law and sister in law and it almost ruined my marriage. We had no privacy at all and it was driving a wedge between us.
Now we live a couple hundred yards from my mother. She doesn't intrude or make us feel obligated to be social every day.
Point is, if you don't like your neighbors just hook the travel trailer up and find new ones.

My sister and her husband live a couple houses down the street and I can't find anything negative from it. Going on 3 years now. My BIL and I hunt together, my wife and my sister do things together, and they are always there when we need something. If a problem would arise from living near your family, then there are problems within the family to begin with.

I grew up within walking distance of one set of grandparents, and within a 20 minute drive of my other set of grandparents. From a kid's perspective, it was the best thing in the world. If you're raising a family or plan to, take that into account.

I live next door to my parents. Huge help with my son being a single dad at the time.
No issues. They respect my privacy.

Parents I could deal with. Would be awesome. Same for aunts/uncles. Some siblings I could. Some I couldn't.
