Earlier today something reminded me of when I was younger (pre-teenish years). A friend of mine, who lived down the street from me at the time had this uncle who was kind of like the "cool uncle". He would buy my friend and his brother shite that their parents wouldn't get them, but he was a church going older guy.. Never been married.

Anyway, when he died, my friend's parents were cleaning out his house and my friend came back with 4 or 5 pens that when you clicked it, there was a picture of a naked woman. My friend had gone look in his uncle's room before anyone else and found a few boxes filled with nudie mags, a few vcr tapes, some condoms, pens, etc.

I remember my friend being somewhat surprised that his uncle had all kind of porn material, but have you ever learned something about a person you never would have thought that of them?

I don't blame you for being shocked

I'm not sure if I would be surprised that an older single man had porn...

I was honestly expecting a much more perverse ending to this story.

Everyone looks at porn, that is not a good example.

That's not what I was getting at, just saying there is zero shock value in it.

When I was in my early 20's I worked for a man who had been in the KKK in Mississippi when he was in his 20's. He was the nicest guy you could ever meet and not racist at all, by the time I met him. He was open about his past and rejected the KKK and what they stand for. He says he mainly joined because his dad and grandad were in it. I had worked for him about a year when he dropped that random bomb. He was proof that people can change.

I'd go as far to say, I pretty much expect finding porn in any dead man's house. I was expecting some perverted story, like he had a sex dungeon or a collection of tiger beat magazines.

Last night, on the poli board, I learned that Michelle Obama is a man. Sort of suspected it though so I'm not sure it counts.

He used to bitch about his bosses and say "they don't know who they're messing with"

He wasn't lying!

Thinking back, I think there is a time when everyone goes through a point in life when you start to learn what's actually "more accepted" in society than you were taught.

As a kid I grew up thinking "drugs are bad" so I thought that "bad people" were the only people who did any type of drugs, but then when I got to a certain grade in school, you start to be more exposed to all of these things you once thought was "bad". This might be a better example of what I am referring to.
