Sadly, yes. My best friend was murdered 4 years ago.

My uncle was murdered about 5 years ago.

Also knew the guy who lived down the street from me was murdered. He owned a billiards bar and was really cool and helped me learn to shoot pool much better when I was in my late teens.

My cousin was a JPSO deputy, who initiated a stop of a man whom had just robbed a convenience store. The perp gained control of his service weapon and shot him to death. 1996 Jimmy Clarius

Yes, unfortunately. My friends dad killed his mom. Apparently they got into a big fight, and he stabbed her. Father is serving life, meanwhile my friend is trying to pick his life back up after that trauma he faced. He says he desperately wants to forgive his dad, because they had a great relationship before that incident happened. But he just cant find it in him. This happened 10 years ago.

My cousin was killed in a drive by. He was sitting on his front porch with a beer in his hand. When all of a sudden three cars pulled up and just sprayed the house. He never stood a chance. Apparently the shooting was gang related, but the dumbass criminals was at the wrong fricking house

Just read about the Walber pizza delivery murder. Absolutely sickening.

Was there any talk of this being a hate crime? Not like it fricking matters.

What a horrible story.

ETA: it's amazing to me how many horrific murders go unnoticed in this country. We only see whatever the media chooses to report on.

Friends from High School killed by their SOs, more than a few friends killed by folks who decided their right to drink to excess and then attempt to operate a motor vehicle on public roads outweighed the rights of the sober folks to be able to safely use the same roads.

One was a State Trooper.

Knew a kid that was stabbed to death on his own front porch over a girl. Cops ruled it a suicide.

When I was a kid living on Fountainbleau our next door neighbor had her husband killed in his driveway. I still to this day remember the sound of the gunshots, my dad grabbing his 38 and chasing the killers in their car around the neighborhood. He told us the cops finally caught up with them and arrested them. This was before cell phones.

Any human being you were close to that has their lives taken away prematurely will leave an everlasting scar in your soul.

3 that I can think of. 2 of them were people I had met a few times through a friend. The woman who was murdered was my friend's ex wife. She and her husband were murdered by her father.

The other one I'd rather not talk about because I don't want to be identified

Sister was also killed by a drunk driver
