Lots of places around corporate/college. Clicks, Fox and Hound, the Waffle House bar. I was surprised Ruby Tuesdays lasted as long as it did.

Fox and the Hound has been closed at least 2 years.

Clicks does well. Lots of friends go there. They have games and pool and etc. I went the other night and there was even 25+ people there at 7pm.
Waffle House gets packed after 2AM.

For those saying India's, they have a good crowd usually for their lunch buffet I also order take-out there from there for dinner sometimes, and while they don't seem to have the same crowd as at dinner, there are usually several other people picking up dinner to go.

What do you get there?

I went a few times way back...I always worry about food turnover since there is no one there

Do they still serve sushi? Always seemed like I might be getting old fish

Idk but if it was a 225 magazine award almost all of the winners are a joke. 5 guys was "voted" best burger in BR a couple of years ago. Fleur de Lei pizza is the only deserving winner they usually have.

My wife and I really have a dislike for ninfas. I went there once and it was trash. The service was even worse.

I agree. I go to India's for lunch all the time. Usually a decent crowd.

Clicks is lame. And I was referring to the bar next to Waffle House not Waffle House

Maybe they do good lunch business?

Doubt that. I go fairly regular for lunch and there's never more than a handful of people in there. Probably everything is paid for and his overhead isn't that high. Or maybe he caters out some.

Is the Perkins and bluebonnet location still open?

Yup. Just checked. So is the new one on Perkins. That had to hurt. Too bad. There's better in town ( Smoking Aces) but I still think Podnuhs is very legit.

The Londoner - I hear people go to Bulldog, Cove, Uncle Earls and downtown bars (3rd street). This place usually looks dead when I drive by.

Main parking lot is behind the building...

Tastes just as good today as it did back then. Other than locations suck, what makes it no longer legit?

That's certainly not my recollection. Used to be family owned and now some part of a chain. Thankfully the Essen location burned down.

-The cuts of meat are cheaper/fattier.
-The sauce is more like spicy ketchup now.
-They managed to screw up the beans.
-The service at the Fla. location is horrible.
-Both locations are filthy, especially Sherwood.

I have no stake in trashing the place. in fact I miss the way it used to be as it used to be very good food at a reasonable price.

I must not be the only one. The Fla. location closes at 2pm.
