No, but ignorance of it is crappy and a reliable sign of imminent disappointment with one's station in life.

In my opinion, Italian is the language that makes the most sense. They way it is spoken and written just makes sense to me.

Forget foreigners, most Americans can't even speak English.

Foreigners almost unanimously consider English very easy to learn. I have yet to meet a German who said English is harder than their native language.
I've always heard it was much harder than most. It's less uniform than the Romance languages

Is that the case for latin-based native speakers as well? Makes sense that Germans, of anyone, would have the easiest time learning English

ghoti should be pronounce fish.
Gh = f from laugh
o = i from women
ti = sh from motion

I can (as in ability) can (as in verb "can those yams for storage") a can (as in tin can") of peas.

I wanna know what English sounds like to someone who doesn't speak it
Posted on 2/12/16 at 11:43 am to rebeloke
English is hard, but I think Japanese would be the hardest to learn.
...or Navajo. Navajo's crazy. Half of the words sound like you are hocking a loogey.
